Great gadgets

I have to share with you my latest acquisition. It is the Cuisineart Pressure Cooker. Now my mother cooked with a pressure cooker. I never had.

Actually, I have always been scared of them, thinking that if you didn't do it right, they would explode. Well a friend told me about this one. It is electric and plugs into the wall. The instructions are so simple and it comes with great recipes.

I tried the lentil soup last night, which took 8 minutes to cook. It took longer for it to release the pressure. The lentils were soft and the soup was delicious. I am making a roast today, trying a recipe I found on Allrecipes.com. It will take about 20 minutes to cook.

The best price is at Costco, $69. This is a good suggestion for Christmas.

Since I love to eat, this was an ideal item to get.

I love that my family blogs. It is my way to keep in touch with them. To hear what they are doing. I love my family so much!
I am looking forward to this Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. I have come to realize how blessed we are to have been born in this country. We take for granted the freedoms that we enjoy every day. I like to complain alot, but really those things are just so trivial. We have homes, we have generally good health and the ability to seek medical help if needed. We have jobs or those of us who are retired, have an income. We have food and only go hungry through our own choice.
Then we have each other. Even when we are far apart, we can depend on one another. We give each other help, guidance and love.
